Competition Intake Plenum For Porsche 996 (3.4/3.6L) (1999-2004) Models.

The IPD “Competition” Intake Plenum is a high-performance upgrade designed for Porsche Carreras that are already moderately to heavily modified. Porsche has a long history of restricting engine output with smaller throttle bodies, and this plenum is engineered to overcome that limitation.

This “Competition” model is specifically designed to work in conjunction with an upgraded 82mm Porsche GT3 throttle body (required and sold separately), replacing the factory 74mm throttle body. This larger diameter allows the engine to inhale more air, especially when paired with a high-performance exhaust system. The more extensive the exhaust system (headers, catalytic converters, and mufflers), the more effective the plenum’s performance.

IPD has pioneered a new design with the Competition Carrera Plenum, featuring a unique and innovative internal merge collector area. This advanced design significantly enhances laminar flows and volumetric efficiencies, resulting in not only impressive power gains but also a more linear power delivery and improved throttle response.
