Upgrade your 991/991.2 Turbo/S factory brakes or replace worn-out rotors with premium GiroDisc brake rotors. These are an excellent choice for track use and provide a cost-effective, high-quality brake replacement solution compared to PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes).

The central hat section of each rotor is made from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from GiroDisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined entirely in-house. The rotor incorporates a curved vane design, developed in racing to function as a centrifugal pump, effectively forcing cooling air through the disc.

The rotor and hat assembly features a floating mount system, utilizing 8 or 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to their own specifications and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins manage the load from braking forces while maintaining axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured by grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers. To prevent cold-weather rotor noise, anti-noise spring washers are used on the rotor side, allowing for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also enables the rotor to self-center between the pads.
