The rotor and hat assembly utilize a sophisticated floating mount system. This system employs 8 or 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our exacting specifications and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins bear the load generated during braking, while simultaneously allowing axial and radial float between the hat and the disc. The pins are securely fastened using grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers. To prevent noise during cold operation, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side. These washers allow the rotor to expand with heat while eliminating the rattling and noise commonly associated with floating rotors. This floating design also enables the rotor to self-center between the brake pads, ensuring even wear.
